BRIAN S. WEINHART

Secretary, The Heart Foundation Board of Directors & Chairman, Former Advisory Board

Brian has volunteered his time and talent to serve The Heart Foundation in numerous capacities for more than 25 years. He was the founding Chairman of The Heart Foundation’s Advisory Board, a “think tank” of industry leaders who assisted in developing and implementing innovative techniques to raise awareness and funds in the fight against heart disease. After many years, Brian transitioned to the Board of Directors, taking on the role of Board Secretary in 2024. Brian experienced his own heart scare in 1997. Similar to Steve Cohen, Brian was in his mid-30s, active, healthy and had never had cardiac problems before. On a flight home from a ski weekend, Brian began to feel chest discomfort. Upon landing, he had some friends drive him to the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as a safety precaution. He was met there by Dr. P.K. Shah and diagnosed with myocarditis, a potentially deadly inflammation of the heart muscle. Dr. Shah told Brian that if he had arrived at the emergency room 10 minutes later, he may not have survived. Brian became involved with The Heart Foundation a little over a year later after being introduced to Chairman Mark Litman by mutual friends.

Brian holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Law degree from the University of Southern California.  With over 30 years of experience, Brian has established himself as one of the leading real estate/finance attorneys in the nation, and is currently a partner at the firm of Hill Farrer. Brian enjoys traveling and spending time with his three children Austen, Jade, and Chasen.
